Police are in attendance and a street has been closed off after a man was found seriously injured in Walsall.

A residential road in Blakenall Heath, Walsall has been closed off by officers due to a police incident, believed to have taken place on Sunday, January 25.

Chantry Avenue in Bloxwich has been sealed off by West Midlands Police officers and police tape has been put across the residential road blocking access.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’re investigating after a man was found seriously injured on Chantry Avenue, Bloxwich, shortly after 1.30am this morning (25 January).

"It's believed the man, in his 30s, had been assaulted and he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"We are carrying out a range of enquiries as we work to establish the exact circumstances around what happened, and we are speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV.
