Three people fled the car in an attempt to escape.

Following a search of the area, all three, two men and one teenager, were found hiding in the bushes.

They were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and remain in police custody.

The car is believed to have been stolen in Dudley on Monday.

Sergeant Richard Galbraith, from the West Midlands Police neighbourhood crime team at Dudley, said: "Vehicle crime can affect livelihoods as people rely on their vehicles for work and responsibilities.

“We know the impact of vehicle crime on our communities, on lives and livelihoods.

“We will always seek to arrest those involved and make sure vehicles are returned to their rightful owners."
