Buses diverted as Walsall road becomes 'impassable' due to ice

A road in Walsall has become impassable for buses due to ice.

National Express West Midlands has warned of disruptions to its regular routes due to icy conditions in Walsall

The company warned that due to ice on Bridgeman Street, the road is currently impassable, and that the number 39 service has been diverted.

The service will instead follow Wednesbury Road, before proceeding on to the Brown Lion pub.

On X, National Express West Midlands said: "Service disruption: ice.

"Bridgeman Street, Walsall, is currently impassable for our vehicles. Service 39 is being diverted via Wednesbury Road to the Brown Lion public house.

"Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
