In a post on Facebook, which features images of the kitten and rescue team, the West Midlands Fire Service said: "Thanks to the teamwork of firefighters from Walsall and Wednesbury, and our Specialist Technical Rescue Unit, “Little Red” was gently rescued, and is now receiving veterinary treatment.

"But what's with the name?  Well, he was named after the red watch firefighters who rescued him, so we’re definitely rooting for Little Red as he fights to get well again!
