Teenage boy, 16, in court accused of threatening police officer with knife in Walsall
A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court accused of threatening a police officer with a knife in Walsall town centre.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with threatening a person with a blade or sharply pointed article in a public place following an incident on June 26.
Walsall town centre officers arrested the boy on Station Street after reports that an officer had been threatened with a large black-handled carving knife.
The weapon was seized at the scene.
The boy, from Walsall, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court today (July 9) for his first hearing.
