Woman convicted of weapon offences after zombie knife and bladed baton found 'on full display' in Stafford flat
A woman has been convicted of weapon offences after police seized a zombie knife and a baton from a flat in Stafford.
Kirsty Rigby appeared at Cannock Magistrates Court on Tuesday (January 13), where she was found guilty of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
The 34-year-old, of Stafford, has been bailed ahead of a sentencing hearing at the same court on April 23.
Staffordshire Police officers searched a property off Marston Road in Stafford on November 21 last year, with a zombie knife and an extendable baton recovered.

The black extendable baton had a spring-loaded locking mechanism and a sharp circular point at the base of the handle, while the zombie knife had a serrated 8.5-inch blade and a flat cutting blade at the bottom.
Zombie knives were banned in September 2024, when it became illegal to own, make, import or sell the weapons as part of a national government crackdown on knife crime.
Speaking following Rigby’s conviction, officer in the case PC Liam Matthews said: “When officers entered the property, the weapons were on full display.
“I’m glad the jury found Rigby guilty of the offences, and we managed to get these weapons out of circulation.”
