Trespasser removed from railway between Cannock and Walsall - Delays still expected
A trespasser on the line between Cannock and Walsall who was causing delays on West Midlands Railway (WMR) services has been removed,
Rail-replacement bus services were in operation between Walsall and Rugeley because of the delays with road transport running.
But a tweet by WMR says the trespasser has now been removed although cancellations and delays are expected into the afternoon.
It says road transport and ticket acceptance on other services including buses is still in place.
WMR say the incident is causing the disruption in the Bloxwich area of the line, affecting the route from Cannock to Walsall.
A post on West Midlands Railway's X account read: "Trespassers on the railway Cannock-Walsall. Due to a trespasser on the railway in Bloxwich area, services at a stand at present Rail replacement buses will run between Walsall-Rugeley."
