Family of Cannock man who died whilst visiting Bulgaria continue to push for clarity after taking a 100,000-strong petition to Parliament
The family of Cannock lorry driver, Rob Spray, have visited Parliament to tell their six-year-long struggle for clarity over his death.
Cannock-based lorry driver, Rob Spray, flew out to Bulgaria's capital of Sofia for a friend's birthday as they planned to watch the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
However, tragically, the 32-year-old died on October 14, with Bulgarian authorities saying that he died whilst in transit to a police station after earlier being found in a 'helpless condition'.

The death marked the beginning of a more than six-year-long struggle by Rob's family for clarity, closure and support over his passing.
Following Rob's death, a Change.org appeal was launched by his family and friends, calling for a proper investigation into their loved one's passing and a clearer and more consistent procedure for the handling of deaths abroad.
Visiting parliament with Cannock Chase MP, Josh Newbury, the family has shared their story with Victim Minister Alex Davis-Jones, and called for dignity, transparency and timely answers, to help future families.
Katie Brown said: "Yesterday, with the support of our MP Josh Newbury, me and my cousin Amy were finally able to attend Parliament and meet Victims Minister Alex Davies-Jones.
"I told Rob's story, the reality of losing a loved one abroad, the impact on us as his family, and the complete lack of urgency, empathy, and support we've faced for more than six years.
"Only last week, Bulgaria released the CCTV from the day Rob died, 6.4 years later. No family should ever have to wait that long for basic information about their loved ones."
Rob's family and friends have said that they will continue to push for a 'clear, consistent procedure' so that future families whose loved ones have died abroad 'never have to go through what we have endured'.
Ms Brown said: "We are now pushing for a clear, consistent procedure so that future families who lose someone abroad never have to go through what we have endured.
"The system is broken, and it is failing grieving families at the worst moment of their lives.
"It has been shocking, spoiling, and deeply painful. But if sharing Rob’s story helps change the system for even one family, then his legacy will be one of truth and protection.
"A massive Thankyou to our MP, Josh Newbury, and his PA, Lydia. Thankyou to everyone who signed Rob's petition and supported. Big Thankyou to my Cousin Amy."
