Appeal for information after Staffordshire woman 'suffered extensive burns to arms and legs' in tent fire

Police are appealing for information after a woman sustained serious burns in a tent fire in Staffordshire.

Emergency services were called to New Hall Street in Hanley, near Stoke-on-Trent at around midday on January 1, following reports of a tent on fire.

The woman suffered extensive burns to her arms and legs and was airlifted to hospital, where she remains in a critical but stable condition.

Marsh Street was temporarily closed at the junction with Trinity Street while crews attended the scene.

Police investigations are ongoing. 

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 407 of 1 January.
