The centre, the trust’s home since 2003, has been undergoing a redevelopment since the end of last year.

The new Kingfisher Café will sell hot meals, sandwiches, cakes and drinks and offer views over the lake at Wolseley. The visitor centre improvements include a new look shop, improved interpretation and introducing new features across the site.

Sue Chance, head of commercial for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said: “After three years of planning, fundraising and construction we are very close to the end of the journey to transform The Wolseley Centre into an even better and more special place for people to visit.

“We are thrilled with how the centre looks, and really hope people who visit like it too. Our new Kingfisher Café will be a great addition to our centre and looks fantastic."
