Former boxer Lee Glover, aka the Tipton Slasher, jailed for strangling ex-girlfriend and trying to gnaw her nose off in jealous rage
A former boxer nicknamed 'The Tipton Slasher' has been jailed for strangling his former partner, trying to gnaw her nose off and pulling her hair out and flushing it down the toilet.
Lee Glover, who had a professional boxing record of 11 wins and nine losses, was jailed after a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
The 38-year-old was found guilty of strangulation and assault causing actual bodily harm after going berserk on a night out with a former partner.
On March 29, Glover, of Dimmocks Avenue, Bilston, visited several pubs with the woman in Wolverhampton when they got home Glover accused her of speaking to other men and attacked her.
He pulled her hair out and then flushed it down the toilet and threatened to gnaw her nose off and lunged at her. He then strangled her whilst shouting "I am going to kill you."
The police were eventually called and arrested Glover whilst his victim was treated for extensive injuries.
