'It's like the land the cleaners forgot!' Residents fume over fly-tipped 'rubbish mountain' in Smethwick
A fly-tipped "rubbish mountain" has appeared in Smethwick including discarded mattresses, PPE items, car parts and general household rubbish.
Residents and walkers near Smethwick's Black Patch Park have raised concerns to Sandwell Council over the amount of fly-tipped rubbish on their streets.
Locals said the rubbish, which can also be found on Woodburn Road and Foundry Lane, has started to accumulate in the park, creating a "rubbish mountain".
Items included among the fly-tipped rubbish include discarded clothes, industrial items, general household waste, and car parts.

Jason Morris-Taylor, 43, of the area, said: "It's unbelievable. It's a huge mess. You can't walk anywhere without stepping on something or kicking some sort of rubbish.
"And Black Patch Park, I don't know if it's been stacked there for collection by the council, but it's like a rubbish mountain, mattresses, scrap material, the lot. It's horrible to look at.
