Police probe launched after jewellery thieves strike at vulnerable Smethwick woman's home

West Midlands Police is asking for help in identifying two people officers want to talk to following a distraction burglary in Smethwick.

Two people gained access to the home of a vulnerable woman in October last year, before taking jewellery items from the property.

Police have been carrying out a range of enquiries, including speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV from the area; but are yet to identify those involved. 

Anyone who recognises either of the two people pictured, or anyone who has any information that can help with the investigation, is asked to contact West Midlands Police via 101, or the Live Chat service on the force website, quoting reference number 20/406882/25. 

A force spokesperson said: "Recognise these two? We’d like to speak to them after a distraction burglary in Sandwell. 

"Jewellery was taken from the home of a vulnerable woman in Smethwick back in October. Since then, we’ve been carrying out a range of enquiries, including speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV from the area."
