Flats can be built on site of former Great Barr GP surgery that was demolished without permission
A developer looks set to be allowed to re-build new flats on the site of a former doctor’s surgery after demolishing the building without permission.

Great Barr borders Sandwell, Walsall and Birmingham and is dominated by its proximity to the M6 motorway. Its history is linked with the fortune of the Scott family, baronets who once owned Great Barr Hall. Descendants also owned Red House, a manor house which stands in Red House Park. Its history is tied with the beauty spot of Barr Beacon and also the village of Hamstead on the Birmingham border.
