Buses diverted due to parked cars blocking road in Halesowen.

A large number of parked cars have partially blocked a road in Halesowen, resulting in bus services being diverted.

Bus operator National Express West Midlands has apologised and said passengers using the number 19 were facing disruption due to the parked vehicles in Old Hawne Lane in Halesowen today (Saturday). As a result the service has been diverted in both directions.

The operator said in a statement on X: "Service disruption: due to a large number of parked cars [in] Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen, the number 19 will be diverting in both directions via: Furnace Lane and Whittingham Road. We apologise for any disruption to your journey."

The number 19 operates between Dudley Bus Station and Harborne, Birmingham via Netherton, Old Hill and Quinton.

Halesowen FC, known as The Yeltz, is based on that road and were due to play an away match against Royston Town in Hertfordshire on Saturday afternoon in the Southern League Premier Division Central.
