Two people taken to hospital after car crash in Hurst Hill

Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a crash in Hurst Hill.

Police, firefighters and the West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of a collision at the junction of Hurst Road and Childs Avenue between Sedgley and Coseley yesterday evening (Wednesday).

Crews at the scene treated a man and a woman for minor injuries before taking them to hospital.

A silver car missing its rear wheels could be seen in the road after the crash, which happened shortly before 7pm.

A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC (Road Traffic Collision) at the junction of Hurst Road and Childs Avenue in Coseley, Bilston at around 6.55pm and sent an ambulance to the scene where, on arrival, crews found two cars had been involved in a collision. 

"A man and a woman from one of the cars were treated by ambulance staff for minor injuries and conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital."

A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "Shortly after 7pm on Wednesday, November 5, we responded to Hurst Road, Bilston.

"A fire engine from Dudley responded, arriving within four minutes of being mobilised.

"This was a collision involving two people. 

"One casualty is believed to have been conveyed to hospital by paramedics.

"We made the vehicles safe and left the scene at 7.25pm, with police colleagues organising recovery."
