Cockroach-infested fried chicken shop in Dudley ordered to pay £7,000 for food hygiene and gas safety breaches
Environmental health inspectors visited a Black Country fried chicken takeaway to find it infested with cockroaches and using an unlawful gas supply.
The director and a manager of Top UKs Fried Chicken Halal in Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, were ordered to pay a combined sum of more than £7,000, following a hearing at the town's magistrates court.

The court was told that Dudley Council’s environmental health team found serious gas safety and food hygiene breaches during a routine inspection in June, 2024.
Officers discovered that the premises had switched from natural gas to a liquid petroleum gas supply, and that no installation certificates were available.
