'This is built for the children': Saved church opens new Dudley community centre following change in fortunes
A Black Country church that was at risk of closure two years ago has celebrated the opening of its new children's community hub.
Christ's Heart Church, on Swan Street, Netherton, has cut the ribbon on a new children's community centre that was built to provide the local youngsters with fun and educational activities.
The opening marks a milestone turnaround for the church, which two years ago was at risk of closing its doors for the final time ever.

However, following a shock turnaround, the church is stronger than ever, boasting a regular congregation of around 70 attendees and dozens of youngsters.
Now, with the help of congregation donations, Christ's Heart Church has opened its own children's community centre, which is free to visit for everyone in the community.
