Police made an arrest after tracking down a moped suspected to be used in a knife-point robbery in Sutton Coldfield.

West Midlands Police said the rider jumped into a canal to try and evade officers but was arrested.

West Midlands Police Traffic posted on X: "This moped was stolen before being used in a knife-point robbery in Sutton Coldfield.

"It was tracked to Solihull where the rider (15) jumped into a canal to evade us before hiding & being arrested following teamwork between #RoadCrimeTeam, ANPR Interceptors, NPAS & @WMPDogs."
