'Here’s to fresh beginnings' - Change afoot at West Midlands pub under new management
The new managers have created separate dedicated spaces for families as well as over 18s.
A Marston's pub in Kidderminster has been taken over by new management who say they want to “create a warm, welcoming, family-friendly’ venue with a “big heart”.
The Park Gate now has two new managers, Jonathan and Chelsea, who are both experienced in the pub trade.
In a social media post, the pair said they wanted to bring a “fresh lease of life” to the pub and have created separate dedicated spaces for families as well as over 18s.
The pub also has a dedicated dog-friendly area situated in front of the bar.
The social media post on The Park Gate’s Facebook page said: “We want to bring The Park Gate back to being a pub that the local community can be truly proud of.
“Our aim is simple: to create a warm, welcoming, family-friendly destination food pub with a BIG heart!
“A place where families can enjoy a lovely meal together, where children are welcome, where friends can catch up over a drink, and where everyone who walks through our doors feels right at home.
“We believe a great pub is about so much more than just food and drink. It’s about the people, the atmosphere, the memories made and that feeling of belonging.
“We understand that different guests are looking for different experiences. Some want to enjoy a family meal with their children, while others prefer a quieter, adults-only environment to relax with friends.
“By creating dedicated spaces, we hope to offer the best of both worlds, ensuring that families, couples, friends and regulars can all enjoy The Park Gate comfortably.
“We’re ready to put our heart and soul into this pub, bring back that community spirit and make The Park Gate a destination people genuinely look forward to visiting.
