Wolverhampton's New Cross clear of norovirus for first time in two months

New Cross Hospital is clear of the winter vomiting bug norovirus for the first time in nearly two months.
Three wards have been affected since an outbreak early in November.
But wards A8 for the elderly, C24 for renal medicine, and C19 for respiratory medicine, are now fully opened.

The hospital can only open bays once patients have been symptom-free for 72 hours.
Bosses have been bracing themselves for a big outbreak this winter after the bug struck as early as August this year. Norovirus is highly contagious.
