Players were left stunned at a Walsall pitch and putt after a herd of cows invaded the greens and fairways at the weekend.
Around 30 players were enjoying the glorious sunshine at Fishley Park Golf Range, in Fishley Lane, Pelsall, when the black and white cows suddenly appeared.
While the invasion put some off their stroke, other golfers were determined to continue on Saturday as nearby farmers were contacted to get the animals renoved.
The unexpected visit has been blamed on people letting the cows out of a nearby field.
Golf club manageress Debbie Johnson said: "This has never happened before. There must have been around 30 players out there at the time."
It took around 30 minutes before the cows were returned to their fields.
Barry Thomas, who runs a boarding kennels for dogs and cats next door to the golf course, took a series of pictures with his digital camera. He said: We have lots of deer running about and they can cause hazards but the cows don't normally cause problems."
