Festive music festival with a twist announced for Wolverhampton
The festival aims to bring a winter wonderland with a difference to Wolverhampton.
A city park is set to be transformed into a different type of winter wonderland as a unique music festival has been announced.
The organisers of WV1FEST have announced the launch of Nightmare Before Xmas at West Park in Wolverhampton.
The festival, which is set to take place on Saturday, December 19, will transform the park into a festive wonderland, with a purpose-built festival site centred around a heated marquee, allowing those attending to be comfortable and warm throughout the event.
Following on from the successful summer festivals at West Park, Nightmare Before Xmas will provide a high-quality line up of tribute acts to Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Iron Maiden, The Deftones, and System Of A Down, all hosted by Kerrang’s Johnny Doom.
Beyond the music, the event also promises seasonal treats including a swing grill, toast-your-own marshmallows, traditional Glühwein, spiced hot Jagers, and mulled cider and is being touted as a special and exclusive event, with just 1,000 tickets being released.

WV1FEST said a pre-registration system has opened up, giving fans early access to ticket opportunities, and all those who pre-register will receive priority entry to purchase up to four tickets per person during a 24-hour priority window, starting at 10am on Friday, October 2 and with tickets starting at £23.50 plus booking fee.
Organiser Jools Taylor said the event was a different way of enjoying music and celebrating the festive season.
He said: “This isn’t just another festival as it’s Christmas, reimagined for the rock community.
“We wanted to create something that feels festive, cosy and full of that Christmas spirit, but also delivered with the intensity and power our audiences love.
“With limited tickets available, this will be an intimate, unforgettable festive celebration.”
