Watch as work continues on new £500 million waste facility factory near West Bromwich
New drone footage has shown the progression of a huge new energy-from-waste facility in Sandwell.
Drone footage taken above the Enfinium Kelvin energy-from-waste facility just off the M5 motorway near West Bromwich has shown the progression of fast-developing works.
When operational, the facility will convert around 350,000 tonnes of non-recyclable household and business waste into electricity, enough to power around 95,000 homes every year.
The energy facility will process and convert waste into high-pressure steam, which would then be de-pressurised to produce electricity.
