Another warm and dry weekend in store across the West Midlands - but temperatures down from one week ago
The West Midlands is set for another warm and sunny weekend, but temperatures will not be as high as last week.
After seeing it soar past 30C at the start of the week, the Met Office are predicting temperatures to peak between 26C and 28C between Friday, August 15 and Monday, August 19 across the West Midlands.
That comes after the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued an amber heat-health warning on August 11, encouraging people to be careful of high temperatures between 9am on Monday, August 12 and 6pm on Wednesday, August 13.
The UKHSA had warned of "significant impacts across health and social care services due to the high temperatures."
Now that warning has passed, the West Midlands looks set for a pleasant weekend of sunshine and warmth, with occasional cloud cover and minimal chance of showers.

Friday will be the warmest day with highs of 28C across Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and South Staffordshire.
Saturday and Sunday will see a drop to 26C in Wolverhampton, Walsall and Sandwell, while those in Dudley and South Staffordshire will see highs of 25C.
While the heat will drop slightly, UV rays will still peak at 6 in some places, so people should remain vigilant and protect themselves from the sun over the next few days.
