Inspectors visited Spring Vale Primary School in January, and in the full report which was published last week, found that 'pupils achieve highly'.

Teachers ensure children 'secure the important knowledge that they need to communicate, read, write and calculate at the earliest stage,' with leaders 'relentless about ensuring that all pupils keep up'. As a result, pupils are 'very well prepared' for the next stage in their education.

"We are delighted that the hard work, dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence of our children, staff and community have been recognised recently," said the school's headteacher Chris Blunt.
