Mr Fowlie said that his school is often described by students and staff as a 'family', a facility where kindness, care and support are at the heart of daily life.

He said: "Walsall Wood School is often described by pupils and staff as 'a family'.

"Kindness, care and support are at the heart of daily life, with staff truly knowing their children and striving to help them succeed in every area. 

"Our pupils take pride in leadership opportunities such as Digital Leaders and Rights Respecting roles, and we celebrate achievements both big and small."
