In pictures: Highlights from the Black Country Apprenticeship Awards 2025

The region's brightest and best apprentices and mentors were captured on camera as they celebrated at the Black Country Apprenticeship Awards 2025 at the Copthorne Hotel, in the Dudley borough.

Delivered in partnership with Ladder for the Black Country, the awards brought together some of the most inspiring and talented apprentices, employers and businesses from across the region, with awards handed out in 14 categories.

A number of finalists were also highly commended such was the calibre of entrants this year.

Virgin Radio presenter Rich Williams hosted the event - keeping guests entertained throughout the evening which included a welcome drinks reception, three course dinner and a charity raffle held in aid of charity partner The Ladder Foundation.

Express & Star editor-in-chief Mark Drew thanked sponsors for their generous support of the event which was being held for the fourth time and he said: "The Express & Star has long championed apprenticeships and apprentices.

"These awards honour the hard work, dedication and innovation apprentices contribute to their employer. And it is important to acknowledge the role employers and training providers have in inspiring apprentices to fulfil their potential."

He said the standard of entries was "exceptional" - adding: "The overall number of entries continue to increase year on year."
