Revealed: Best and worst performing schools across the borough of Walsall
As the new academic year begins, the following list details the top 15 primary schools in the borough of Walsall, and the 15 worst.
The schools, some maintained by Walsall Council and others by an academy trust, have been ranked by the government on the percentage of children meeting the expected national standards.
St Anne’s Catholic Primary School in Streetly ranks first, with 100 per cent of its students meeting the expected standard in the last academic year.
At the opposite end of the table is the All Saints National Academy in Bloxwich, part of St Chad’s Academies Trust, where less than a quarter of its students are meeting the expected standard.

Rivers Primary Academy, Bloxwich – 82 per cent
St Michael’s Church of England Primary School, Walsall – 82 per cent
Kings Hill Primary School, Wednesbury – 81 per cent
Manor Primary School, Streetly – 77 per cent
St Mary’s The Mount Catholic Primary School, Walsall – 77 per cent
St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School, Blakenall – 77 per cent
New Invention Junior School, Willenhall – 76 percent
Goldsmith Primary Academy, Blakenall – 75 per cent
Lindens Primary School, Streetly – 75 per cent
St Francis Catholic Primary School – Shelfield, 75 per cent

Councillor Mark Statham, portfolio holder for children’s, families and lifelong learning at Walsall Council said: “Every child should have access to a high-quality education, and Department for Education data from 2024 showed a higher proportion of schools in Walsall are graded to be ‘Good’ or better by Ofsted than the national average.
