Would you pay £43,000 for a bottle of whisky?

An expensive bottle of whisky with an eyewatering £43,000 price tag has gone on display at a wine and alcohol merchants in the Black Country.
The 50-year-old Macallan whisky, which is pricier than most family cars, is on show at Nickolls and Perks.
It works out at around £1,869 for a wee dram of the whisky, which is the first edition made in a collaboration between Macallan and French crystal experts Lalique.
The specially-designed bottle has been lovingly formed by Lalioque.
Nickolls and Perks had a sister bottle in the shop three years ago, which sold for £15,000 - so the whisky has nearly tripled in price since then.
Marketing and events manager Tim Robbins said: "It was one of an edition of 470 when it was first released.
"Macallan are working with Lalique to produce a series of six editions and this was the very first one which goes back around six years.
"Obviously none of them are easily available."
The whisky comes from Macallan's distillery in Speyside, Scotland. It's a first release and 46 per cent alcohol by volume.
The bottle was acquired on behalf of a collector client by the Stourbridge store, who are also organising the Midlands Whisky Festival on September 18 and 19 at Stourbridge Town Hall - which will play host to 40 whisky merchants from all over the world.
Mr Robbins said: "One of the points of the Whisky Festival is it allows ordinary people to try bottles that would cost over £1,000 and see what they're like.
"The festival also gives people the chance to try whiskies and spirits from England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland the USA and Japan."
