Church preparing to hold summer fair
A church is making preparations to hold its summer fair this month.
St Mark's Church, in Pensnett, Dudley, will host the annual event on June 9 from 12pm.
It will be opened for the church's vicar, The Reverend Canon Sue Oliver, marking one of her final events before she move on to pastures new.
A tombola, Pick a Straw game, homemade cakes and jams, grocery and sweets and plants will be among the attractions on the day.
There will also be a barbecue with burgers and hot dogs on offer.
The vicar's final service will be a Songs of Praise at 4pm on July 22 followed by light refreshments.
From September she will take over as Priest in the Holy Cross Group, responsible for Ministry around Belbroughton and Fairfield, Broome, Blakedown and Churchill.
