Drop-in held over future of town's disused railway station building
The dilapidated building is surrounded by security fencing
The public have been quizzed on what to do with a Shropshire town’s disused railway building.
Network Rail held a public drop-in session in Shifnal to ask people for their thoughts on the future of the building at the town’s railway station.
The building, which sits on the platform and borders the car park, is in a dilapidated state and is currently surrounded by fencing.

People were invited to go along to the session at Shifnal Village Hall on Friday (September 4) and “discuss the future of a deteriorating disused building at Shifnal station”.
A spokesman for Network Rail said the discussion included what the site could be used for if the building is knocked down.
Speaking ahead of the meeting a spokesman said: “Representatives from Network Rail and West Midlands Railway will provide details about the issue, answer questions, and gather suggestions from passengers and local people on how the site could be used for the benefit of the local community if the building needed to be demolished."
