Drivers warned on road closure
Disruption on the roads and rails is expected when beams for a bridge on part of Walsall's new £16 million ring road scheme are installed next month.
Disruption on the roads and rails is expected when beams for a bridge on part of Walsall's new £16 million ring road scheme are installed next month.
The beams are set to be slotted into place by a huge crane as part of the major two-year roadworks project to ease traffic congestion in the town centre.
Construction of the railway bridge has been under way in Littleton Street West since last year.
When completed it will carry part of the new dual carriageway to relieve a bottle-neck between the Arboretum island in Lichfield Street and Green Lane.
Meanwhile motorists are reminded that George Street in Walsall will be closed from 8pm to 6am tonight for emergency water main repairs.
