Man, 71, arrested at scene of six-vehicle crash on M5 in West Bromwich
A 71-year-old man was arrested after police attended a crash in West Bromwich yesterday (March 23).
West Midlands Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Fire Service all attended the scene on the M5 between junction one at West Bromwich and the M6 following a crash involving five lorries and a car.
Emergency services confirmed one woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene before being taken to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital for further assessment.

Everyone freed themselves from their vehicles, and firefighters helped lift a heavy goods vehicle that had collided with a car.
West Midlands Police have now confirmed that they made one arrest at the scene, a 71-year-old man who was wanted on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
A statement from the force: "We were called to a multi-vehicle collision on M5 Northbound near J1 at around 1pm yesterday afternoon.
"No serious injuries were reported.
"A 71-year-old man who was wanted on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle was arrested. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries."
