Man charged over Ford Fiesta collision with a lamppost in Oldbury - police update vehicle was stolen

A man has been charged after two others were injured following a serious collision in Oldbury on Friday night involving a stolen car.

A stolen car hit a lamppost and parked cars in Newbury Lane at just before 11pm on Friday (March 20), police said.

Two passengers were injured and taken to hospital. One man sustained serious injuries and the second suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Following further enquiries West Midlands Police has now established that the vehicle was stolen.

Corey Brown, aged 20 from Lye, has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and having no insurance.

He has been remanded to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow (March 23).
