Teenager, 17, charged after gun and ammunition seized in Sandwell
A 17-year-old has been charged after a gun and ammunition were seized in Sandwell.
West Midlands Police have charged a 17-year-old boy with weapon charges after they recovered a viable firearm and ammunition in Smethwick.
The arrest came after police acted on information and seized the viable firearm in High Street, Smethwick, on Sunday, January 4.

Following the enquiries, officers detained a 17-year-old boy in West Bromwich on Monday.
The teenager was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of cannabis, and one offence of assault.
He was remanded to appear before Wolverhampton Youth Court today.
A force spokesperson said: "We’ve charged a teenager after recovering a gun and ammunition in Smethwick.
"We acted on information and seized the viable firearm in High Street on Sunday (4 January).
"Following enquiries, we detained a 17-year-old boy in West Bromwich yesterday.
"The teenager has now been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, having cannabis and an offence of assault."
