Walsall woman, 31, charged after knifepoint robbery at petrol station

A woman has been charged after a knifepoint robbery in Walsall.

West Midlands Police were called to reports of a robbery at a petrol station on Wallows Lane around 7pm on Sunday, December 28.

Walsall response officers were quickly on the scene, joined by a dog unit and firearms officers.

Police said they had discovered a significant amount of cannabis.

A woman was arrested and stolen goods recovered.

Following a thorough investigation, Ramain Smith was charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage.

The 31-year-old, from Walsall, is due at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (December 30).
