Brayden Page, aged 22, was arrested on Monday, December 15, at an address in Shard End, Birmingham.
He was later charged with multiple thefts of motor vehicles and burglary offences.
The 22-year-old appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court on Tuesday, December 16, where he admitted eight burglary offences and 14 theft of motor vehicle offences.
The total value of the thefts exceeded £340,000.
The offences were committed between April and May this year in Solihull, Oldbury, and in Staffordshire and Leicestershire.
Page, of no fixed address, was remanded into custody and is set to be sentenced in January.
Detective Constable Charlie Edwards, from the Solihull Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: "Page was prolific in stealing numerous vehicles from Solihull residents.
"Thankfully, following investigative work and help from the community, we were able to identify Page as the offender and lock him up.
“Vehicle crime can affect livelihoods as people rely on their vehicles for work and responsibilities. Across his seven-month crime spree, Tinsley targeted innocent residents and now is rightfully behind bars."
