Warrant issued for Staffordshire animal trader who has flown the coop before illegal sale of exotic birds and rare animals trial
A warrant has been issued for a Staffordshire pet shop owner who has flown the coup ahead of his trial for selling exotic birds and rare animals.
Robert Gillan, of Upper Cross Street, Rugeley, was due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on Tuesday.
Cannock Chase District Council is prosecuting Gillan for allegedly making more than £100,000 due to breaking laws and strict regulations concerning the selling of rare animals and birds.

On Tuesday Gillan was due to be given a final chance to change his pleas to guilty ahead of his trial which would save taxpayers cash and reduce his sentence.
