Firearms and Class A drugs worth thousands of pounds found in Sandwell vehicle - two men charged
Two men have been charged with drugs and firearms offences in Sandwell.
On Sunday, November 23 a man was shot in the leg on St Pauls Road, Smethwick, and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Earlier this week, West Midlands Police officers stopped a car in Oldbury after a pursuit. Thousands of pounds of Class A drugs and cash were found following a search of the vehicle.
Adam Liqat, aged 19 from West Bromwich, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, wounding, possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and driving offences.
Yakuba Sawaneh, aged 19 from Erdington has been charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
The men have been remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 4.
