Jury deliberating guilt or innocence of defendants accused of murdering Walsall father Matthew Adams after nine-week trial
A jury is deliberating the verdicts of five people on trial in connection with the death of Walsall father Matthew Adams.
Five people are on trial in connection with the death of father-of-two Matthew Adams, who died days after being savagely beaten outside a West Bromwich pub.
The trial, now entering its 10th week at Wolverhampton Crown Court, saw CCTV footage of Matthew Adams first arguing, then fighting and then battered by a group of men outside the Gough Arms in the early hours of March 19, 2023.
Despite pleas from his partner and advice from his GP the 33-year-old did not go to hospital and was found collapsed in his bedroom and rushed to hospital where he died on March 23.
