Man hurt in attempted robbery near Darlaston park gate
A man suffered a scratch wound when a would be robber tried to snatch a chain from his neck near Walsall.
The incident happened in Wolverhampton Street near the entrance to George Rose Park in Darlaston on November 2.
West Midlands Police said: "A man was getting into his car which was parked on Wolverhampton Street, near the entrance of George Rose Park, last Sunday shortly before 1pm, when an attempted robbery took place.
"The offender leaned over a fence and attempted to rip a chain from his neck.

"He couldn’t get the chain off so ran off leaving the man with a broken chain and a scratch on the back of his neck which has drawn blood and also ripped his t-Shirt."
Officers have now launched an appeal to identify the offender who was described as being light skinned Asian ethnicity or possibly mixed race, in his late 20s, around 5ft 7ins tall and medium build. He had dirt on his face which also had a bit of facial hair.

He had short black hair and could have been wearing a baseball cap. He was also wearing a grey hooded top, with and a grey t-shirt underneath. He was also wearing black bottoms with white stripes down the leg.
