Driver arrested over Oldbury road death of woman in 60s given police bail
A man who was arrested on suspicion of causing the death of a woman struck by a van in Oldbury has been given police bail.
The woman, aged in her 60s, who has not yet been named, died in hospital after being struck by the white vehicle near the junction of Wolverhampton Road and Albert Road in Oldbury just after 6.30am on Wednesday (October 29).
West Midlands Police said the man, aged 31, who had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and of drug driving, has since been released while investigations into what happened continues.
"The man has been released on bail pending further inquiries," the force stated.
