Father Matthew Adams told doctor he was 'beaten up by eight people' in West Bromwich pub before he died

Father of two Matthew Adams told his doctor he had been 'beaten up by eight people" days before he died, a court heard.

Mr Adams, 33, was attacked at The Gough Arms pub, Hill Top, West Bromwich in the early hours of March 19, 2023 and died four days later.

Four adults and a teenager are on trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court in connection with the murder of Mr Adams, known as Wacka to friends.

The father of two, from the Yew Tree estate on the Walsall/West Bromwich border, died as a result of his injuries.

On March 21, he had a phone consultation with a doctor from Stone Cross Medical Centre and requested pain medication.

Dr Lubna Seyed was working as a locum at Stone Cross Medical Centre when she spoke to Mr Adams.

In a statement to the jury, Dr Seyed said: "I spoke to him on Tuesday, March 21 at 10.41am. The appointment was by phone. I had a telephone consultation.
