Three men charged with theft offences following arrests through West Midlands Police campaign

Three men have been charged with shop theft offences in Walsall as part of West Midlands Police's #SaferStreetsSummer campaign.

Isaac Miller, aged 29, from Walsall, was arrested by St Matthew’s town centre neighbourhood officers and charged with four shop theft offences.

Adam Hayward, aged 33, from Walsall, was charged with two shop theft offences while Richard Chisholm, aged 37, from Birmingham, was charged with three shop theft offences.

They were all appearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates on Thursday, September 11 for a first hearing.

The arrests were made as part of a #SaferStreetsSummer operation where West Midlands Police carry out patrols and support local businesses.

It is part of a national initiative running in town centres and high streets across the UK focusing on anti-social behaviour, retail and street crime.

West Midlands Police also run Operation Marigold which targets business crime and those carrying out shop thefts.
