Man charged with possessing electric weapon after incident in Stourport

A man has been arrested and charged with possessing a conducted energy device following an incident.

Tom Ryan was arrested by West Mercia Police officers in Stourport on Friday night (August 15).

Ryan, 23 and of Bromford Road in Birmingham, has now been charged with possession of a conducted energy device (a weapon that can discharge an electric current) between Friday and Saturday (August 15 and 16) and with breaching a restraining order.

The force confirmed that Ryan has been remanded and is due to appear before Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Monday (August 18).
