Bilston violence: Four men charged after three hurt in serious disorder as gun found at scene

Police have charged four men with weapons and violence offences after men were injured in serious disorder in Bilston.

Armed disorder involving people with bladed weapons was reported in Arbour Drive, Bilston, on Friday morning (August 15).

Emergency services were called and three men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Six men were arrested in the subsequent investigation.

A badly damaged white car with a shattered windscreen could be seen behind the police cordon on Friday.

Now West Midlands Police has charged four men with violent disorder, wounding and possession of an offensive weapon.

Hardeep Singh, aged 28 and from Hounslow, London; Harpeet Singh, 25 and from Leicester; Mukesh Kumar, 30 and from Wolverhampton; and Lakwinder Singh, 26 and from Smethwick have all been remanded to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow (August 18).

Two other people who were arrested have been released on bail.

A police spokesperson also revealed that a firearm was recovered from Arbour Drive. It is now the subject of further investigations.

A statement said: "We've stepped up patrols in the area, although we're continuing to treat this as an isolated incident.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service said on Friday: “We were called to an incident on Arbour Drive in Bilston at 6.13am and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic to the scene.

"On arrival crews found three men. The first was treated for serious injuries before being conveyed under emergency driving conditions to hospital. The two other men were treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to hospital.”
