Two men charged after crack cocaine and heroin discovered in car in Cannock

Two men have been charged after crack cocaine and heroin were found in a car in Cannock.

Ben Steele, 29 and of Moxley, Walsall, and Shaid Ali, 57 and of Chadsmoor, Cannock, have both been charged with drug supply offences after a car was stopped in Chadsmoor.. 

The pair were arrested by officers from the Staffordshire Police major and organised crime team on August 1. 

On searching the vehicle, officers discovered heroin and crack cocaine in the driver's side door pocket, with further searches in the area uncovering more drugs and £490 in cash. 

Steele was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, possession of criminal property and possession of a controlled drug of class B (cannabis).

Ali was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of cocaine. 

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "They both appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on August 2.

"Steele has been bailed and Ali has been remanded ahead of their next appearance at Stafford Crown Court on September 5."
