He was struck by a silver car as he crossed Dudley Street, near the Shell petrol station, at around 12.25am on Sunday.

West Midlands Police is appealing for information after the driver failed to stop.

A force spokesman said: "He was left with multiple injuries and remains in hospital today."

Officers have been looking at CCTV footage from near the scene of what was the third serious crash involving a pedestrian in the Black Country in three days.
