Stourbridge murders: Teenager killed alongside mother named as Pierce Wilkinson
The teenager stabbed to death in Stourbridge alongside his mother was named tonight as Pierce Wilkinson, as police continued to hold the prime suspect in the double murder.
The stabbings left a community reeling, with police confirming the woman and boy's death – while her husband remained critically injured in hospital.
Their alleged killer was detained by police after reportedly fleeing the scene of the 'horrific' bloodbath in the family's Land Rover.
It is believed he rammed the 4x4 into a police vehicle during a pursuit, which took place around half an hour after the alleged stabbings. It then crashed into a wall. Detectives arrested a man on suspicion of murder and wounding following the attack in Greyhound Lane, Norton, at 8am.

Emergency services found the woman and boy in the house and the man in the garden. All had serious stab wounds. The couple's daughter Lydia was away at university at the time of the attack.
The mother killed was named locally as Tracey Wilkinson while her husband Peter, managing director at Asset International in Bilston, was left seriously injured.
Paramedics said nothing could be done to save Mrs Wilkinson, who is understood to be in her 50s, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The couple's 13-year-old son, named locally as Pierce, who was a pupil at Redhill School, suffered critical stab injuries and was later pronounced dead in hospital, police said.
Mr Wilkinson remains remained in hospital with stab wounds to his chest and back.

A Land Rover stolen from outside the home was intercepted at around 8.30am 700 metres away from the family's home in Norton Road and a man in his 20s was arrested. He remains in police custody and on suspicion of murder and wounding.
Dudley Police Supt Lee Kendrick told the media: "What has unfolded here is truly horrific and heartbreaking. Police and ambulance were called to an address just after 8am.
"Officers and paramedics were confronted with an awful scene: A man, a woman and a 13-year-old boy were found all with very serious stab injuries. They are believed to have been inflicted by a man known to the family, but not a family relative."
Police say they believe the suspect may have been living at the address.
No-one else is being sought over the stabbings at this stage, say police.

Mr Kendrick said: "Tragically there was nothing that could be done to save the woman – and her son later died in hospital from his injuries. Our hearts go out to the victims' family and friends at this devastating news. Clearly our investigation is at a very early stage but we understand the suspect was known to the family and may have been living at the address – although he is not a family relative.
"We don't think this was a burglary or a robbery. Our investigation is progressing at pace and we are working to understand exactly what the relationship was between the man and the family.
"At this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
A member of staff at The New Inn in Norton, the family's local, said they were very caring people who took in a homeless person around Christmas time.
Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on telephone number 101.
